At the Congregational Church of South Hero, U.C.C., we believe that all are welcome within the family of God. Our ministry is anchored in two strong beliefs:
We believe all are welcome and united by God’s love. For The United Church of Christ, Justice and Jesus are inseparable. Our daily worship is anchored by the belief that God is still speaking.
United Church of Christ: What We Believe
and
No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.
United Church of Christ: Who We Are
God calls us to care for and meet people where they are as together we worship, rest in, and serve God. We are a congregation with a shared commitment to community, service, and welcome. We celebrate the gifts and questions of each person who enters our door as we seek—through worship and prayer, service and listening for God’s still speaking voice. Our open and affirming statement reflects this:
The Congregational Church of South Hero, UCC embraces Jesus’ message that God loves and accepts every person. Jesus calls us to the ministry of reconciliation and grace. Therefore, we invite and welcome all persons of every age, gender identity, racial or ethnic background, sexual orientation, marital or socioeconomic status, nationality, physical or mental ability into full participation in the life and rites of this faith community. We are committed to the reconciliation of all persons as children of God and declare ourselves to be an Open and Affirming, Reconciling congregation.
