Sunday Service 9:30am – All are Welcome

We ring in worship together every Sunday at 9:30am – you might hear our bell! Enjoy traditional hymns and a talented choir accompanied by a marvelous pianist. We offer a written bulletin in the Narthex for anyone interested. During the school year, kids gather mid-service with our Minister, Cordelia Burpee, for a fun exchange as they head off to Sunday School that will wrap up at the same time as the morning service. After the service concludes, please feel welcome to join us downstairs for coffee, pastries and conversation.

Join us at 24 South Street South Hero, VT 05486 every Sunday at 9:30am – Fellowship to follow the service.

Children’s Education & Classes

Faith is a life long process of learning, growing  and being shaped – both individually and as a congregation. Christian Education is not  confined to a Sunday School room (or to a particular age group) but takes place  in every aspect of our time together. We believe that children are valuable part of our congregation, their gifts and questions, their voices and their celebrations enriching our community life. Young people play an active role in this church – serving as acolytes and ushers, in mission work and on the Board of Christian Education.

During the school year children  begin each Sunday in worship with the adults. Prior to the sermon they  go to Sunday School where they learn about the Bible through a curriculum that mixes story, activities and songs.

Infants & Toddlers

Pre-school aged children, infants and toddlers are welcome in the Nursery during worship.. This bright, well equipped space is staffed by our Nursery Coordinator and members of our church.

Youth Group

Young adults in grades 6-12 live busy life – especially here in the Islands! In addition to a Sunday morning discussion group, held three times a month during church, they plan quarterly outings and mission activities and join College Street UCC’s youth group in their monthly activities.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is a highlight of the summer for the whole congregation. A creative team of volunteers offers a program of crafts, games, bible study and general silliness. This program is open to children aged 5-12 and offered Monday through Friday 9 – 11:30.
