It’s our Tenth Anniversary! This year our goal is to raise $10,000
Please reach out if you’re interested in lending a hand…we can use help from hanging fliers to serving refreshments and more!
25% of funds raised stays local (Food for Thought, Champlain Islands Food Shelf) 75% is distributed in U.S.and around the globe for relief from hunger & food insecurities.
We continue to fight against disease, disaster, displacement and other challenges that leave people hungry. CROP Walk dollars are critical in giving Church World Service the ability to respond immediately to disasters and crises.
Beginning at the Church, walking north on South Street to Route 2 with a quick wave to Route 2 travelers, back down South Street to the Recreation Trail with Guy Maguire, returning to CCSH for refreshments and fellowship.
This supplemental summer lunch program is now in its 13th year! Food for Thought helps address the needs of families at risk of hunger within the five island towns when school is not in session. The program is committed to providing high quality, locally sourced food. Thanks to the generosity of our Islands farmers, family receive fresh local produce. Each child regularly receives new reading level appropriate books. In 2018 Food for Thought served 108 children in 44 families. This program is truly a collaborative community effort, run by volunteers and funded through donations. To learn more, or to volunteer please contact 802-372-4962 or ccshvt@gmail.com
